- Gordon and Audrey Hayes have cast their bread upon the waters of Abilene, and we're the better for it. They bake outstanding bread! I am especially fond of the 9-grain loaf and their Italian bread, although every type of bread I've tried has been very, very good. And, it makes the best toast I've ever eaten. If you want to indulge yourself, shopping at Beit Lechem is a perfect way to do it.

Our particular favorite breads are the 9-Grain (very tasty for toast and sandwiches) and the Walnut Raisin (just a little sweetness that also toasts well). All of the breads we have tried have been delicious and we would recommend them for everyone to try.
